We are delighted to invite you to PlasmoGen26, a free student-led one-day symposium bringing together population geneticists and malaria researchers to explore the current and future landscape of malaria research.
Date: 6 November 2026, 09:00–17:00
Venue: The Linnean Society of London, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BF
Funded by the Genetics Society, the day will include talks from students and invited speakers, group discussions/games, and refreshments throughout the day, including a small breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks. In the evening, a dinner will be organised at a nearby restaurant (at attendees' own cost).
Topics will include:
- How Ancestral Recombination Graphs (ARGs) are changing inference and relatedness estimation

- Demographic inference from Plasmodium genomes

- Detecting signals of selection

- And more!
