Dear colleagues, Julia Kreiner and I are looking to fill a research support position in our lab groups in the Ecology & Evolution Department at UChicago. The position is full-time (in-person, salaried, benefits) but the work load is split 50/50 between our two lab groups. We share a large wet lab space and office space across our research groups, creating a dynamic and interactive work environment with colleagues bringing diverse perspectives and interests in plant ecology, evolution, genetics, and genomics. For this position, we are seeking applicants with experience with wet lab techniques in plant genetics and genomics, including standard and high-molecular weight DNA extraction and library preparation. Full details and instructions to apply can be found on Workday: https://uchicago.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/External/job/Chicago-IL/Research--Analyst_JR34674 The minimum experience required is a BS or equivalent (ideally with some work experience), but we are open to hiring at the MS or PhD level if the fit is right; salary will be commensurate with experience and training. More information about the research groups can be found on our lab websites: https://carleylab.uchicago.edu/ https://kreinerlab.com/ The posting will be open for at least a couple of weeks, and we aim to have the position filled for fall. Please feel free to pass this opportunity along to anyone in your networks that you think may be interested! Prospective applicants are welcome to email me with questions before applying if they wish (lcarley@uchicago.edu). Best, Lauren Carley (to subscribe/unsubscribe the EvolDir send mail to evoldir@evoldir.net)
