The American Journal of Botany is publishing a special issue focused on perennial plants, which are understudied despite their importance to many ecosystems. Papers related to the evolution of perenniality, phenotypic plasticity, stress tolerance, aboveground-belowground trait coordination, evolutionary ecology, and any other area of integrative plant biology are potentially good fits for the call. Methods-focused papers targeting Applications in Plant Science are also welcome. The deadline to propose a paper for the collection is August 31st, 2026. If accepted, the deadline to submit the manuscript will be April 5th, 2027. Visit this link for more details on the special issue: https://botany.org/home/publications/ajb/ajb-and-apps-special-issue-call-for-proposals-advancing-restoration-of-natural-and-agricultural-systems.html Please consider submitting a paper proposal by 8/31!
