ESEB Policy and Evolutionary Biology (PEB) Funds
Annual Call for Proposals 2026
The ESEB Policy Committee (PC) is excited to launch the first call for proposals that focus on policy and/or societal impact of evolutionary biology research organised by ESEB members. Such activities can include local meetings on policy, societal impact, and related issues as well as actions to influence policy.
The typical amount awarded will be € 500 – € 2,000 per project, although larger amounts may be considered where justified.
Deadline: Wednesday, 30 September 2026, 23.59 UTC
Eligibility
The funds are available for ESEB members (most applicants on one proposal must be ESEB members before the call’s deadline). You can become a member or check your current membership status at the membership website https://eseb.org/society/eseb-membership/

Application procedure
Please download and fill the application form at https://eseb.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/ESEB-PEB-Grant-2026.docx and return it as pdf file by Sep 30th, 2026, 23.59 UTC to Dr. Friedrich at the ESEB Office (office@eseb.org) with the subject “PEB Funds Call 2026”. Email attachments should not exceed 10 MB.
We will acknowledge receipt of all applications within a week. If you have not received our confirmation by then, please contact the ESEB office again!
The applications will be evaluated by the Policy Committee
