We are pleased to report that The Bee Genera of North and Central America (Hymenopters: Apoidea): Second Edition is now freely available online. This is a fully revised version of the 1994 publication with updated taxonomy, keys, notes on the genera, illustrations, and habitus photos of all 173 genera of bees in North and Central America. There are some nice features in the electronic version, including hyperlinks connecting keys to notes to illustrations, which will facilitate usage. The PDF is available on the Smithsonian Institution’s Scholarly Press website and can be viewed and downloaded here: https://doi.org/10.5479/si.9781944466909.hc DOI: 10.5479/si.9781944466909.hc Please share this with colleagues and anyone interested in identifying bees of North and Central America!
