The Schultz EvoGenome Lab at Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA, USA) seeks a candidate to co-develop an NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Biology (PRFB) proposal, with me as sponsoring mentor. This year's competition (NSF 26-504) focuses on the intersection of AI and biological sciences. Example directions: - AI for comparative genomics - AI-driven genome assembly/annotation tools - LLMs for genome analysis - Genome rearrangements, including in cancers Other ideas at the interface of evolution, chromosome biology, gene provenance, and human health are welcome.
