The Integrative Plant Systematics Lab at Texas A&M University is recruiting a postdoctoral research associate for Fall 2026. This two-year position will focus on plant phylogeography, taxonomy, genomics, and phenomics, centered on an integrative phylogeographic study of a focal grass clade. The position will involve laboratory and herbarium work, with opportunities for fieldwork. The postdoc will use and develop skills in spectral reflectance, trait prediction, phylogenomics, spatial data analysis, and scholarly writing while working closely Dawson White. There will also be opportunities to develop related projects in other focal clades and geographic regions. Desired start date: August 1 or September 1, 2026. Applicants should have a PhD by the start date, experience with phylogenetics, population genomics, comparative methods, herbarium collections, plant taxonomy, trait datasets, biodiversity informatics, and/or R, and interest in a collaborative, collections-centered research environment.
