Postdoctoral Research Associate –Multi-Omics Integration/Single Cell Analysis University of North Carolina at Charlotte (Department of Biological Sciences; School of Data Science) We are seeking a highly motivated and independent postdoctoral researcher to lead data-driven projects in plant systems biology, with a focus on wild legumes, plant resilience, and multi-omics integration. Research Focus Projects integrate evolutionary genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and emerging single-cell approaches to understand plant responses to biotic (e.g., nematodes) and abiotic (e.g., drought, salinity) stresses. Current systems include wild soybean and wild sand bean. What You Will Do Lead analysis and interpretation of single-cell and multi-omics datasets Develop publication-ready figures and manuscripts Drive at least 1–2 first-author papers within 12–18 months Collaborate with a focused research team What We Are Looking For PhD in plant biology, genomics, bioinformatics, or related field Demonstrated ability to write and publish scientific papers Experience with single-cell and omics data analysis (RNA-seq required; multi-omics preferred) Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Highly Preferred Experience with legume genomics Experience integrating multi-omics datasets Familiarity with R/Python and statistical analysis What We Offer Access to rich multi-omics datasets ready for analysis Clear, focused projects with strong publication potential A collaborative and efficient research environment How to Apply Please upload your application package: CV, personal statement, and Names for three references to https://jobs.charlotte.edu/postings/67133 If you have any questions, please contact bsong5@charlotte.edu (to subscribe/unsubscribe the EvolDir send mail to evoldir@evoldir.net)
