Dear colleagues, Transmitting Science is offering a new edition of the course “Bioinformatic tools for RNA-seq and transcriptomic data analyses”. Registration and more information: https://www.transmittingscience.com/courses/genetics-and-genomics/bioinformatic-tools-for-rna-seq-and-transcriptomic-data-analyses/ Course Overview: This introductory course provides practical training in the analysis of transcriptomic data generated by RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) using next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies. Participants will learn how to use bioinformatics workflows to process, analyse, and interpret sequencing data. The course covers essential steps including Linux fundamentals, quality control and pre-processing of sequencing files, handling sequence alignment data, and complete RNA-seq analysis pipelines. Topics include read mapping, transcript assembly, quantification, differential expression analysis, and downstream biological interpretation. A dedicated section on small RNA sequencing introduces specialised workflows, including miRNA analysis and target prediction approaches.
